Last Saturday, we checked-in at Joya Lofts & Towers at Rockwell to celebrate Adriel’s belated 5th Birthday. We were accommodated on a 1 Bedroom Executive with a living room with beautiful interiors & fully-equipped kitchen and also a balcony where the view boasts of the tall buildings surrounding the Makati area. We really liked the place because it has so much space(60sqm), good for family or friends. The Powerplant Mall was also just right in front of Joya, you just have to walk not very far to go to the mall if you want to relax, go shopping or eat out.

I bought an angry birds cake at Conching Sabale’s before we went there and I’m really glad that Adriel liked it a lot. Before we sang Adriel the customary Happy Birthday, we went to sample their swimming pool located at the 7th floor. There was 1 kiddie pool, a larger one for the adults and also 1 medium pool located at the back. All of us didn’t had the proper swimming attire when we got there, only the kids so what my companions did was strip on their underwears(ha ha) so that they would be allowed to swim! Niknok and I were the only ones who did not swam. We all had a great time there though the security guy kept on looking at us and checking us out because we tend to create some noise.

We also went at Powerplant Mall come evening time for some grocery shopping coz we run out of rice and drinking water. We went grocery shopping at Rustan’s to buy those that we need and also Tanduay Ice for us! We just bought one bottle for each and we drank it later that time. I think we slept at around 12 midnight after watching PBB.

The following day, the kids used the pool once again. We just let them be since it wasn’t everyday that they go swim on the pool. We finally checked out at 12nn with all of us having a smile on our faces, all happy how our weekend getaway went.

Sun Cruises' Manila Bay Cruise Review

Yesterday evening we were able to use the voucher that my sister purchased September of last year from Sun Cruises through Pakyaw deal. The deal was a 66% off on a Manila Bay Cruise valid for 1 and half hour cruise with set dinner onboard M/V Spirit of Manila. From the regular P550 she only paid P188 each. She purchased 2 vouchers and the other voucher was for me. We took our 2 daughters with us(Hannah and Dana) and the kids are still free since we declared them as 2 year olds :) If you have more than a 2 year old kid, I think you have to pay already the regular price of P550.

We got to the docking area(behind Folk Arts Theater) at around 4:45PM so we waited till the registration started at 5:15PM. Once on the registration, we were told that the seats available for us were only on the lower deck, I thought maybe it was on a first to reserve, first to get to the upper deck kinda basis. After the registration, we waited to board for the 6:15PM-7:30PM schedule that we chose. During that time that we waited, Hannah and Dana are already so naughty, running around the waiting area and impatiently asking when will we board the cruise. After awhile, it was already 6:15PM so we were already told that boarding is now open. So we lined up and entered M/V Spirit of Manila.

My sister and I noticed that all those on the upper deck has a sticker on their chest while we, on the lower deck, has none. Apparently, the once on the upper deck paid the regular price of P550, while all those on the lower deck availed the Pakyaw deal and all the other deals from other sites. So that explains who gets to the upper and lower deck… hmm.We’re not complaining though since we’re on the airconditioned room while they’re on an open air area. Anyway, our set dinner included a sweet and sour fish, beef teriyaki(I think, not sure), 3 small cuts of potato and for dessert we had buko pandan. The dinner was ok, nothing spectacular, just enough to feed a hungry stomach, anyway I didn’t get the chance to eat the dessert since Hannah chowed it up to the last bite..haha! I was thinking, maybe it tasted so good!

After our dinner, we got out of the airconditioned room to enjoy the scene outside. It was chilly when we got out and there were already a couple of people outside also admiring the view from the sea such as the towering buildings from afar and also SM Mall of Asia. After some picture taking we got up and saw what it’s like on the upper deck. Well there was a band playing and it has more space than the lower deck. I can’t help but think maybe their food was also different from us, just thought so. Anyway, while outside, there were parts of the ship that we can’t go through so basically we just stayed in front of the lower and upper deck. After 45 minutes on the cruise you just wanna go out and leave since there’s nothing much to do anymore.

All in all, we did enjoy the Manila Bay Cruise. I wouldn’t mind going again this time with the sun still out. I just thought to try maybe the Prestige Cruises next time since they have a Cruise only rate of P250 and a Cruise with set dinner for only P450, much lower than Sun Cruises. Well, I am going to think about it for the upcoming Pyromusical Competition since I thought it would be nice to see all those beautiful fireworks onboard a cruise.

Kung Hei Fat Choi

So the celebration of the Chinese New Year already started with lots of festivities on the different parts of the country. Since last Sunday, I already planned on watching the Lunar New Year Festival at Resorts World Manila like the Chinese Cultural Exhibition at 3PM but since we won’t be using a car and had to travel by public transportation, I nixed the plan because I can’t stand the heat that afternoon and I don’t wanna carry Hannah all the way from Cavite to Resorts World on a public transpo.

So anyway, just when I thought we won’t get to see any Chinese New Year festivities, luckily we were able to catch the Dragon Dance Parade at SM MOA yesterday afternoon. We went at SM MOA to drop Adriel and Len coz they won’t be joining us at Manila Bay Cruise that we’ve reserved later that afternoon. We noticed that there are throngs of people lining up on the middle part of the mall, so I thought maybe they’re waiting for the dance parade. And I was right! I few minutes later, we already heard drums beating and a group of people on poles, inside the image of the colorful dragon dancing. I immediately took a couple of pictures to capture the moment. Later, they were also outside the mall joined by a few smaller dragons dancing. After 10 minutes or so, the parade was over and I was really glad we were able to witness it as the kids really enjoyed the dance parade. Here are some of our pics:

Hello 2012!

Hello bloggers out there! I really missed blogging a lot! I’m sure you’ve wondered why I haven’t updated my blog for a long time. You see a LOT has happened and I really got busy with work and family that blogging took a back seat for awhile but I really do hope that I’ll get to update as often as before.

Anyway, it’s already 2012, a new year and hopefully this year would be a better year than last year. I must admit that last year wasn’t a really good year for me so I ‘m looking forward to 2012 with a more positive attitude since this coming school year my Hannah will go to school for the first time! Yey! I am so excited! I’ve already checked a lot of preschools here in our neighborhood and I hope the school that I would choose would bring out the best on my daughter socially and academically . By the way, I enrolled Hannah about 3 months ago on a ballet class and her class was finished after 2 months so I am planning to re-enroll her again this summer so she could enjoy her summer before she starts schooling.

With regards to me, sadly my plan on enrolling again to continue my studies was not pushed through due to problems encountered on the school we’re supposed to enroll at. I am just sad that they did not treated us as professionals that they supposedly are. We did not got any feedback from them regarding the assessment that they’ll give after sending all those requirements that they asked from us! Anyway, my dream of going back to school were not through yet, I have still plans although I really don’t know when will I be able to get it done.

Hannah's 3rd Birthday

This July 7 will mark Hannah's 3rd birthday and I am just so happy that my sister and brother will be here to celebrate her birthday with us. And two days after her birthday she will be a first time flower girl on the wedding of my cousin from mother side. She had her final fitting last week and I was completely awed by the beauty of her gown! It was really beautiful and I learned beforehand that it was designed by VJ Floresca, an up and coming avant garde fashion designer. I also plan to let Hannah wore it on her July 10 birthday celebration in our house. It would just be a simple birthday with no party this time. I thought I would make it simple this time because I plan to save up for her upcoming schooling next year. She would be a nursery when she enrolls next year.

Scrubs For My Aunt

My Aunt Cleo whose been working in the US as a caregiver for three years already called me up to inform that she already received the scrubs that I bought for her about a month ago. She said that she loved the color and the design that I picked for her. I bought two womens scrub at the department store, a plain one with a pink color and another with a girly print which I thought will look lovely on her. And I was right! She absolutely adored it!

Before I went to buy her scrubs, my aunt told me to check http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/ so I could have an idea what does scrubs look like and what particular design will look good on her. Will all those cute and beautiful scrubs I saw, I had a clear idea what she might like so in the end I didn’t had a hard time picking scrubs that she would wear. She now told me that she plans to buy more colorful scrubs in the future since she knows it really looks good on her.

Batangas Summer Getaway

Thank God our much awaited summer outing was already finished! We’ve enjoyed every minute of it especially Hannah who soaked her little body on every part of the beach. This was also the first time that Hannah went on a beach so I took pictures a lot so I could make a photobook of it in the future.

We stayed at JohnDel Resort at Nasugbu Batangas. I really didn’t know how much is the entrance fee and the accommodations coz it was my co-workers who took care of it. We just paid P500 each and showed up and that was it. There was all night singing courtesy of the very popular videoke, games and we also went on a boat going to “White Sand”(rent of the boat is P1500 rountrip for 15 persons and you just have to tell the boatman the time to pick you up) which by the way is not that white at all and the sand is not that fine. So don’t expect a Boracay like beach when you decide to go there. But the beach is way better than the ones at JohnDel Resort. Hannah can’t even swim there because of the yucky factor, but on “White Sand” she enjoyed it so much and me too!

At last, Hannah get to spend her summer on a beach which was my plan for the longest time. I hope it was not the last coz I still want her to go to Boracay with me in the future if if have the budget already 

Summer & Travel

Our department will be having a summer outing next Saturday and I plan to bring Hannah so she could enjoy the pool as well as the beach. There are various summer activities I’ve been planning for me and Hannah but I just couldn’t make time for it due to work related issues. I wish I’d be able to enjoy some extra curricular activities and travel like this guy, because let’s face it too much work can be stressful especially if you work 5 times a week! Wow, I really need some time off to just enjoy nature, my kid without worrying too much about work.

So it’s been such a relief when we went to Baguio City last Holy Week with my sister and the kids. We really enjoyed our 3 day stay so much that we’ve been planning ahead of time to spend our holiday vacation there again! Travelling is one of my greatest passion so it makes me all excited when there’s planning and travel that I really can’t wait to make it happen! Our Baguio Trip was truly memorable and I wish me and my family could be able to do this annually.

Baking & Pastry Production

Me and my co-workers enrolled on a baking class called Baking & Pastry Production at Dasmarinas Cavite and the first day of class started this day. Our class is schedule to last for 12 weeks or 3 months and will cover the making of breads, cakes and all types of pastries. I am so excited to learn all this things and can't wait to learn baking cakes and cupcakes.

Anyway, we learned how to bake choco chip and butter cookies as well as crinkles earlier today an I wanna show you the finished product that we proudly did on our first day of class. Take a look! It was really delicious..not bad for first timers :)

Where's The Summer?

I am really confused because during this time, I am very sure that summer has indeed arrived here in the Philippines. Well you know for sure that it's summer already if you're constantly sweating because of the intense heat even during the night. But, no not this time. It is still cold especially in the evening, it still rains once in awhile and I have yet to take a shower for 2 to 3 times a day. Not that I'm complaining, I love the cold weather especially in the night, but I also want to have my summer vacation in the beach or the swimming pool hoping that it won't rain. Well, one thing's sure though, summer will still come most probably this April and we will definitely have a summer outing in our company and I plan to bring Hannah there.. so excited!

Cheap Medical Scrubs

I have a friend who worked as a nurse on a government hospital for 2 years already until he resigned to work as private nurse to an elderly. He will start first week of April so I accompanied him about 2 weeks ago to find some medical scrubs that he can use for his new work .

Because he has a budget to spend, it took us long hours looking to find cheap mens scrub at scrub stores and it’s not an easy task. Luckily, we found what we’re looking for, affordable but with good quality to boot. The owner of the scrubs store even gave him a discount because he bought 5 pieces of scrubs! I told him our patience definitely paid off and he completely agreed with me. After that, he treated me to a nice resto since we’re very hungry and tired from our trip.

The 2nd Phil. Intl Pyromusical Competition

Last Feb.19, we went at SM Mall of Asia to witness two of the countries that are competing at the 2nd Phil. Intl Pyromusical Competition. Those countries are Portugal and UK. The show was supposed to start at 7 and 8PM respectively but ended up starting at 8PM for Portugal and 8:45PM for UK.

We were not disappointed with what we saw, we all enjoyed the fireworks especially Hannah who can't stop clapping and saying "wow" everytime she sees different fireworks display in the clouds.

We were able to go home at about 10PM, tired but happy and also hoping we get to watch again the next week for the other competitors. Sad to say, we were not able to watch again last Saturday(June26) because we went at my friend's house to visit her. Hope we could watch again, this Saturday that would showcase the fireworks displays of Japan and Canada.

No Blogging For One Month

I've missed blogging a lot! I've been gone on the blogging world for almost a month due to several reasons. One of which is because of work. I was transferred to another task which required lots of adjustments and patience to learn. Another reason is that I was also planning to go back to school so I processed all the requirements needed. One of the good news is that I was approved of my scholarship from the company that I worked for so it would really help me lessen the expenses I would incur while studying.

Anyway, now that I'm back, I would really hope to get more tasks because I must admit that there were less and less tasks that I got for the past 2 months to the point that I got none at all! Thank God that there's a task waiting for me(again) which I hope would be the start of many assignments soon.

How Do I Look?

So how do you like the new look of my blog? I spent hours trying to find a simple layout to go with my blog. I think this is just perfect for me. Nothing too fancy and too much design. I hope it would attract more readers and visitors alike.

Anyway, tomorrow would be the first day of February. Hmm, how a month flies so fast! Fourteen days to go till Valentines Day. And yes, I would definitely spend it with the love of my life which is no other than Hannah! My daughter's still too young to know what Valentines Day is and hopefully she wouldn't hurry spending it with somebody other than me... :( One thing's for sure, we will spend the day before Hearts Day hearing the word of God at New Creation Ministries then who knows we can stroll later at the mall with my family...

Getting a Passport for a Minor

Last Jan.6, 2011 I applied a passport for Hannah using DFA's online passport application system. I just filled up the necessary information like name, birthday and address. I also got to choose the appointment date, I chose Feb.12 since it's a Saturday and I don't have work on a weekend. The requirements for a minor(Hannah's only 2 years old)are birth certificate which must come from NSO and passport of mother. But to be sure that I've got all that they need, I also applied for a marriage contract from NSO which I've requested at SM Business Centre for P140. It will be released after 5 days.

Passport fees for regular processing is P950 and P1200 for rush processing. I opted for regular processing only since we won't be needing it anytime soon. I am also thinking of just sending the passport to our house instead of me returning at the DFA to get it. The shipping fee would be P120 according to the website.

I thought of getting Hannah a passport after I saw a series of airfare promos and discounts on Cebu Pacific. I really wanted Hannah to see Disneyland in the future and who knows when will Cebu Pacific offers Zero Fare. So I must be prepared so I could grab the first seats on the promo when it happens.

Overhauling My Blog

Lately I've been worrying a lot because I've been getting less and less tasks over the week so I began to think what could be the problem that it just suddenly stopped. I took a hard look on my blog and I just thought that maybe I need to change a little about my overall appearance and content. I also noticed before that on some of the tasks that advertisers require, they want a blog that has its own domain and not hosted by free blog publishing sites.

I hope there’s more waiting for me by blogging and I continue writing here to improve my page rank and hopefully get more of advertisers attention. So my future plan is to have my own domain by getting a webhosting provider and overhaul my blog to make it look more professional because it can really make a difference earning wise as compared to getting a free blog publishing service. But before that, I might as well think of a catchy domain name that I'm going to use that's not too simple but not complicated as well. I really hope it's gonna happen this year because I really want to earn more from blogging, get more online work and most importantly because I do enjoy blogging a lot!

Here’s a good news for the middle class and poor couple already in a loveless relationship and wants to end their marriage by means of annulment but cannot afford to do so because of the money involved like hiring of lawyers, psychologists and psychiatrists. Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares filed House Bill 3952 titled “An Act Recognizing Spousal Violence, Infidelity and Abandonment as Presumptive Psychological Incapacity Constituting a Ground for the Annulment of Marriage.” Under this bill, a spouse who commits violence, infidelity and abandonment of his family are presumed psychologically incapacitated. This presumption intends to shorten the court hearings thus making it enough not to hire the services of expensive psychologists and psychiatrists. If one of this grounds for psychological incapacity is proven, a spouse can already file for the nullity of their marriage.

From what I’ve been reading, the process of annulment costs around P200K-P500K depending on the lawyer/s you hired. Of course movie stars and the rich tend to pay more because of their status and most importantly money is not a problem to them. So this bill is really a good news for the not so rich and poor because in that way they won't be stucked hating each other and both can end their misery by ending their unfortunate marriage and probably have a fresh new start.

God Is Good

I was constantly worrying now for the past few days because the only money making site that I registered that actually gives me enough tasks to do, suddenly stopped giving me assignments. I don’t know why it happened because before, I always receive like 2 to 3 tasks a day so I am not used to not do any tasks from them. I already e-mailed them, sent them a message on their site but it seems that they don’t read any of my queries.

So I am really down nowadays thinking what else would I have to do to earn some extra cash. I signed up with other blog advertising sites but none of them gives me tasks to do. I hope it’s all just temporary. Anyway, just when I thought that all’s not well for me which makes me really sad, I saw this phrase at the back of the bus earlier this morning and it read “God Is Good”. And it makes me think that I just have to thank God for the blessings that he gives me eventhough not all of the things I want happens. God knows what’s in store for me, so I just have to believe in his plans and in God’s time I know I will bounce back and all will be alright.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Thank God, it's Friday once again! Now I can get to spend the weekend again with Hannah and my nephew and niece. I still can't decide where will I take the kids so they would enjoy this weekend. We might probably go to the mall and let them play or eat at Jollibee. That's what I like when I'm with this kids, they are easy to please, you just let them play and stroll around the mall and they're already happy. I really hope we could go out and enjoy this weekend like the rest of you!

Fun Hobby With My Daughter

I just discovered a fun hobby you can share with your kids especially if your kid happens to be a girl! I really enjoyed playing Dress Up Games with Hannah in which you can select different types of clothes, shoes and accessories depending on what role your virtual doll is playing or where she is going. Hannah also gets to choose what dress she likes, like when we played Dress Up Hannah Montana, she was the one who chose what type of dress she wears. And what can I say? I found out that my daughter has a sense of style at her age!

I also get to try to Dress Up Lady GaGa which I had the most fun and other hollywood celebrities like Paris Hilton which I love dressing up! This is one site where I really enjoyed passing up time that eventually end up as some sort of a bonding time with my daughter. Next time that I want to try is dressing up a bride or a Miss World beauty. Now I can't wait for it!

Martha speaks is based on the children's book by the same name. Written by Susan Meddaugh, the concept of the book is that Martha ate some alphabet soup fed to her by her 10 years old owner Helen Lorraine. Rather than the letters traveling to Martha's stomach, they wound up in her brain. This resulted in Martha being able to speak.

Young viewers of the show learn vocabulary and synonyms based on key words for that episode. Martha speaks animal languages as well, except for monkey and languages of other exotic animals. My aunt and her husband has been in the US for over 3 years now to work and they left behind their 2 teenage kids that has been staying with us since they left with my mother as their guardian. They are in constant communication and now that my aunt is processing my cousins' papers to go to the US, we are all excited for them to reunite with their parents.

My cousins are really good students but I keep on wondering how will they fare with the other students once they enroll in a school in the US. As far as I know, though the subjects are the same, the approach is a whole lot of different. Math like Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 was one of the subjects they had a hard time with, so my uncle, which incidentally is a Math teacher in high school, got Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 Help in order for them to pass their subject. It has been quite awhile that he tutors them during weekends. This schoolyear, my elder cousin is now getting Math Homework Help like Calculus Help while my younger cousin also gets Geometry Help and Statistics Help for them to excel more in Math.

I just hope when the time comes that they will be able to continue their studies in the US, they would be able to adjust well with the other students so that their good grades here will not get wasted. They're really hard working kids who loves to study and make friends so I guess they will blend well with the other kids their age.

Now that it’s a brand new year, a lot of people I know which includes myself, has been making New Year’s resolution left and right and would you believe that one of the most popular New Year’s resolution that people make is to lose weight? Because of the holiday season, there was a lot of reunions and parties that served holiday dishes that all of us has been drooling all year to eat. Well now, the result is added pounds that’s really hard to lose.

So I’ve been thinking of trying diet pills to shed some of the weight I gained last year. I really don’t have much time to go to the gym so I think this is the best way to reduce weight quickly. A Visit To The Land Down Under

My friend who is based on New South Wales Australia, has been inviting to come visit her and her family for quite sometime now. I am just having second thoughts because I know that international flights are not cheap and requires a lot of planning and of course budget. She said that I don't have to worry about accomodations and travelling around Australia since she would be the one to shoulder my expenses when I'm there. I got excited by her invitation so I am now looking for cheap flights from qantas airline hoping I could find an affordable airfare.

I really wanted to visit my friend in Australia because it has been almost 7 years since we last saw each other. A trip there would make it more memorable since it would be the first time that I would hopefully meet her husband and kids. I really wish that I would find international airfares going to Australia that would fit my budget because if not then it would really make me sad knowing that my friend has also been looking forward to see me real soon.

Today is the day I am going to take my one year old daughter to see Santa for the first time. Although she may not realize who Santa is exactly, it is a great tradition to start. The Santa visits start at noon, so we will leave our home close to 11:00, maybe earlier. Before I leave i will set my home security alarm with ADT SECURITY monitoring, because last time I left home there was a break in. When we reach Santa's workshop I want to bring my daughter up close to the stuffed reindeers and small elves. Kaylee is not going to know what to think, but I think she will enjoy all the costumes and friendly voices. The people who play the roles of Santa and the elves are amazing with children and know how to quickly put a smile on their little faces. Last year I watched my youngest nephew get on Santa's lap and start crying. After a tear was shed, Santa whispered something in his ear and he was smiling once again. I was so impressed that I knew I had to bring Kaylee there as soon as she arrived. So here I am, ready to bring her for her first visit!

I have a handful of bras in my possession, all bought about 2 years ago. I just noticed that I really needed to buy a new one when the strap of my bra gave way when I'm about to use it. I am not really the type of person that has to get the newest style just to become updated with the latest fashion. What I needed is the Best Bra for my shape and body that has to be comfortable and flexible but also within my budget.

Now I am also looking for the Best Body shaper that I could use everyday when going to work. I really need a body shaper to slim my waist as it keeps on bulging whenever I wear something fit. So I have to always wear loose blouses to hide my belly because my co-workers kept on teasing me. How embarassing! So I promised myself that I would find a bra and a body shaper that would fit me well. Hope I could already use the dresses and blouses I bought but have to hide in my closet. Aside from clothes, I think one of the things that women love to buy are definitely shoes. Owning different types of women's shoes from flats to boots are must haves for a woman like me. I myself own a few pair of flats but owning a stuart weitzman shoes are one of my dreams of owning someday. I especially love stuart weitzman peep-toe pumps that looks so stunningly sexy when wearing in a dress or a miniskirt. I just don't know if I could carry it well knowing that I don't wear shoes with heels most of the time. But I would really love to try it someday.

Another one on top of my wishlist are one of those boots that I see that celebrities are wearing. There are different types of boots that can be worn by the type of dress that you use. There are knee high boots, flat boots, western or hunter boots. The lists goes on, so there are limitless options for every women’s desire. But personally, I prefer those knee high boots because its sexy and fashionable at the same time.

Unlike others, I may not own a lot of pair of shoes, but I guess I can satisfy myself with a few that are not that expensive yet comfortable, flexible and easy to use. I really don’t know much about what’s the latest style nowadays, heck I still have to read a women’s shoe blog to become updated about the ins and outs on women’s shoe world. But I guess for simple woman like me, the most important part, aside from looking great and getting compliments, is the importance to feel comfortable and at ease with the one that you wear which basically serves right on the shoes’ purpose.

P99 Musical Fountain Show

Last Saturday, we went at Manila Ocean Park to watch the Musical Fountain Show which is being held everyday starting at 6:30PM. I watched the show together with my daughter Hannah, my sister and her kids, my cousin and the kids' nannies.

Just before the show started, it rained so the people immediately got their umbrellas and sweater but the good thing is that Manila Ocean Park gives free raincoats to the patrons so we scrambled to get each one of us but I got nothing :( Luckily, I went to the other side of the venue and there were available raincoats. So I got 8 raincoats for each one of us and we immediately wore it since the rain started to pour.

I was somewhat worried for the kids to catch a cold so besides the raincoat, I let Hannah wore her own sweater so she won't feel cold. It was really fortunate that when the show started, the rain stopped and the show proceeded smoothly. Well what can I say? For P99 it was worth it! Going to see Santa is a big time in our house. I have a four year old and a six year old boy, and they can't wait to see Santa. The boys have been spending every waking moment talking about what they plan to tell Santa. We plan to go see Santa just as soon as he gets in town. So the much awaited decision of the Supreme Court has finally given and the suspects on the 1991 Vizconde Massacre was found not guilty of the crime of the murder of the 3 members of the Vizconde Family which was a sensational case on the 90's.

I am happy that justice for Hubert as well as the rest of the suspects was finally given but at the same time, sad for Mr. Vizconde because that only means after 19 long years, the justice he longs for his family is now on its uncertainty.

I'm so excited that we'll gonna watch The Great American Circus Show on Dec.26, 2010 at 3PM at SMX Convention Center! I decided to purchase their gold ticket after it was announced that they're gonna have a buy two get two promo just for that day. We went at SM Bacoor last Sunday to go malling but ended up watching the The Great American Circus SM Mall Preview later that afternoon. After filling our faces with more food than we really should have, we all gather around the TV and wait for our Satellite provider that we got after looking up Cable TV vs Satellite TV, to air the movie.

The movie centers on Claudia Larson played by Holly Hunter who is a single mom who right before Thanksgiving gets fired from her job as an art restorer. Claudia decided to go home for the holiday while her only child Kit decides to stay home and spend the holiday with her boyfriend. Right before Claudia gets on a plane Kit informs her she is going to have sex with her boyfriend sending Claudia's already fragile emotions spinning out of control.

Other cast members include Claudia's out of control brother Tommy played by Robert Downey Jr. who goes out of his way to constantly irritate their older and very conservative sister Joanne played by Cynthia Stevenson.

Tommy brings home Leo played by Dylan McDermott to meet Claudia only she believed he is with Tommy. As is turns out Tommy had married his long-term boyfriend and when Claudia boards a plane to head home Leo shows up on the plane and goes with her.

The movie is just filled with hectic family drama that emulates a lot of our family issues we have faced in the past and is just a fun filled movie that keeps us entertained over and over again.

I really wanted to buy a pair of ballerina flats since my last flats has worn out a few months ago. We went at Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa Laguna last Saturday with my sister, her kids, nannies, Jerome, Kero and of course Hannah. It was already 3 or 4 years ago since the last time I last visited the park and what can I say, there's still a lot of people going there! We arrived at almost 11AM and there were already a swarm full of people at the entrance. The weather too was insane coz it was too hot! I am particularly concerned with the kids coz of this. I constantly reminded Ness to check Hannah's back and wipe it towel coz she constantly perspire. Actually not only the kids but all of us as well.

I also got annoyed with lots of people lining up on one particular ride. You wouldn't find one single ride where there's no people lining up. When we decided to try Jungle Log Jam, we lined up for 1 hour! but it was all worth it! The rides are all awesome!

My aunt and uncle from Cabanatuan City recently paid a visit to our family and my mother was very happy to see them since it was like years after they last saw each other. My aunt has this shop at their hometown where she and her husband installs home curtains from house to house and they had pictures with them of actual clients who got their service. We were impressed by the classy yet cozy feel on each home by the decorative curtains with its own unique design mounted on every window.

They had with them ready made curtains that can be installed immediately, so my mother decided to have our very own curtains for our window. My uncle and his assistant, worked instantly on our living room's window and after a few hours it was already finished. We were really satisfied with the finished product as it was styled with a sophisticated drape in the middle. Now our living room looks more cozy and comfortable with the newly installed curtain on our living room!

It was an exciting day yesterday when Manny "The Pacman" Pacquaio had a boxing fight against Antonio Margarito of Mexico. On the way to the celebration of the christening of my cousin's son, we were glued on the radio of our car to keep updated of the fight. From the first round up to the last, Manny clearly won against the Mexican. Manny beat Margarito so bad it left him with a swollen face! We did not see the actual fight until we got home in the afternoon where it was broadcast(late) by GMA 7. Before we got home, we already knew who won, but the telecast on GMA 7 was only starting at Round 1 because of the countless ads shown on the station!

Anyway, we didn't even bothered watching the fight till the end coz we don't wanna get pissed by GMA 7's coverage. Besides, there's always youtube to watch it later.

I so love shopping clothes for my little girl! Everytime I go to the mall, I'd always end up buying a nice dress or a cute top for Hannah. It has become a sort of a stress reliever hobby for me coz I really get the satisfaction of seeing my daughter dressed up beautifully on the clothes that I bought. Plus getting compliments from my friends, family or even people that I don't know with regards to how cute my daughter always dresses, does flatter me a lot.

I was really having a hard time showering in the morning the past few weeks because our handheld shower head was not working anymore. I don't know what happened, one day there was too little water coming out of it till it came to a point that nobody was using it anymore because of its inefficiency. So my mother suggested to replace it since we've been using it like forever and already not doing its purpose so now is the right time to look for new shower heads.

So last weekend we went at the mall to shop for a shower head and it's really not so easy, mind you. Apparently, there are so many designs of handheld shower heads to choose which will basically depend on what you need. Lots Of Activities

This November, there were a lot of activities that I have to attend to which consists of a birthday, reunions, Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. I will be very busy starting this week, starting from my mother and cousin's birthday on Nov.13. Then next week we're planning on going at Enchanted Kingdom, then a reunion with my college classmates will also take place next week. I am not sure though if I will be going. One thing is sure though, I will be going to Divisoria this November for my Christmas shopping, ha ha!

Anyway, a Thanksgiving party is also in the works which will happen on the 27th at Laguna. My co-workers says that it will be an overnight party so I am also not sure if I'll be able to go since it's very far. Then by Dec.10, our company Christmas Party will be held on company grounds so I'm kinda excited about it.

Whew, lots of things to do! Hope I'll get to make a story about all of this soon!

I thought that I would read some spooky stuff during the month of October for Halloween as a special treat.

So I went online to try and order some scary classic books for me to read. When I was doing that I saw an offer for some wireless internet service that I decided to click now and go ahead and sign up for it.

I ended up buying the horror classic of "Dracula". I had heard a long time ago that it's kind of a hard read now and I believe it. ItÕs definitely no Twilight book. ThatÕs for sure. But thatÕs why I like it even more. I think that all these people obsessed with vampires now owe it to Bram Stoker to read the original.

Fun Run, Fun Moments

Last Nov.3, our department launched the opening ceremonies for the yearly Sportsfest where different sports activities will take place during the month like basketball, volleyball as well as indoor games such as chess, table tennis and dart. For the not so sports minded like me, we were encouraged to join the Fun Run, a 3k marathon that took place at the business park where our company was located.

So I joined the Fun Run together with my friends/co-workers and it was sure not easy as it looked! Well for the most part, I just walked coz I got easily tired and my body especially my legs were already in pain. But I did finish it, though it took me a long time after I crossed the finish line. After that, we were given water and a sandwich which I took the liberty on eating for less than a minute, ha ha!!

Will I ever join another fun run or marathon again? Hmm, I guess not, but I am just happy that at least I got to try it, right?

My Impending Move

Now that I’ve been thinking of resuming my studies next school year, I informed my mother about my plans and she gladly supported it though she was somewhat got sad when I told her that I also plan to move together with Hannah to be closer to the school of my choice. She said it would be stressful to move from one city to another and from what she experienced before, there will be instances that somewhere along the way, my belongings would get lost or will get damaged. Added to the fact that it would be expensive to transfer all the furnitures and our stuff especially if the destination is very far.

So I begun to think that maybe it is really hard to move. But then again, what is the internet for if I won’t be able to use it to compare house removal costs and find the moving company with the best deal and with the best quality service to help me with my impending move. One removal company is different with the other, so comparing them in terms of service and cost is a big factor for me. My sister who now has a house of her own, recently bought different home appliances and furnitures to go with her home decoration. Halloween with the cousins!

Hannah spent her trick or treat first at SM MOA where she was joined by Light Cydric(our neighbor) and though we only had a brief stay there, we all enjoyed going at MOA since we saw how the children dressed for the Halloween. After that, we went at SM Bacoor this time so Hannah can spend her treat or treat with her cousins Dana and Adriel. They look so cute with their Halloween costumes and we can see how passersby react and smiled when they look at them. I got so tired going to two malls but it was worth it when I realized how the kids enjoyed the company of each other...

It just amazes me to see how much she is learning when she watches this show. She will talk to the tv saying things like, "Swiper no swiping." She knows exactly what is going on during the entire show. This show is very educational for her. They talk in English, but they also say several things in Spanish. I have noticed that she is picking up on her basic Spanish already. It is really cool to listen to her say a few things in this new language. I am excited that she can learn so much from a show on television. They also do colors, shapes, and things like up and down. She is really getting a lot out of this show. When the theme song comes on, she goes running into the room really excited to know that her favorite show is on television. Lucky for her, I don't mind sitting down to watch this one with her and have a little bit of time for just us.

Meeting up with my friends after school and going to haunted houses on Halloween is one of my favorite things to do. We all dress up at my house and then off on an hour drive to the scariest haunted houses we can find. This year I am dressing up as Britney Spears and I am super excited. We all have little brothers or sisters so we hang out with them for an hour or so before we head off and we take them trick or treating in our local neighborhoods. The kids are always so cute in their halloween costumes and we love seeing which kid can get the most candy. We usually stop off somewhere to eat on our way to haunted houses and stuff our faces full til we cannot eat any more. My brother whose a seafarer recently just had his vacation 5 months ago and he never fails to give us presents when he comes home. Just like his last vacation, he gave Hannah a talking doll which my daughter absolutely loved! While I received a perfume as well as my sister and mom. So when it's about time for him to report for work after his vacation, me and my sister always give him something to take with him that he can use when he returns on the ship. We do this in return for all the favor that he gives us everytime he comes home.

Before he departed for his scheduled flight last July, about 2 weeks before, he told us that his next destination will include Alaska as one of their itineraries so I had this idea to buy him one of those woolrich jackets I see that can be used during the winter season. I thought it would certainly help him beat the cold weather when they reach that place. Anyway, I asked my sister what would she give my brother before he leaves, and she said she would buy him a levis 501 since my brother likes wearing Levis when it's their off and they would stroll around the area after their work. It's his favorite jeans since it's very comfortable to wear, that's what she found out when she asked him what he wanted from her to buy for him.

I guess my brother like what we gave him since he gushed how comfortable the jacket and jeans are when he called just a few days after he arrived at the ship. We were so happy that he did liked it! Mission accomplished!

Hidden Vega Resort

Our much awaited swimming with our family and co-workers at last pushed through last Saturday Oct.23, 2010 at Hidden Vega Resort at Gen. Trias Cavite. We rented a private pool for P4,500 for whole day and we all had a blast with games for adults and kids, singing and lots of eating. We also had food takeout with everyone of us going home with a food at hand. Hannah enjoyed the pool as well as the other kids while I particularly liked the grilled liempo and spaghetti but overall, all the food we ate were just so delicious! Swimming This Saturday

Me and my co-workers will be having a swimming this Saturday at a private swimming pool at Hidden Vega Resort in Cavite. This is basically a family day where we will spend it together with our family and we'll bring foods to cook and have some games for the kids and adults too. I'll bring Hannah and Ness but I'm still thinking if I will bring Adriel since he just got sick a few days ago though he's ok now.

This type of activity is good for those who are working like us since being in a company for five times a week that eats most of our time can be stressful and tiresome and we sometimes neglect some quality time with our family. This Saturday, we can have a whole day of fun filled activities with our family! Hope it won't rain this Saturday not to spoil our pending swimming... fingers crossed!

Movie Premiere Experience

I always wanted to attend a movie premiere, but I have second thoughts in the end due to the expected crowds that will for sure come at the premiere. Like when the movie "Miss You Like Crazy" by John Llloyd and Bea had a movie premiere months ago, I had some co-workers who actually went at the premiere and told me that it was fortunate that there are police and security present at that time for crowd control because there are already people who were being unruly at that time. They were behind the barricades were the celebrities were about to enter and people were starting pushing and shoving especially when the stars finally arrived. The crowd went wild and some leaped over the stanchions and velvet rope to shake hands with the celebrities. Good thing that security personnel were alert and pacified the crowd before things went out of hand.

In the end, the movie premiere went ahead without a glitch and they excitedly shared with me behind the scene stories not caught on cam. I somehow got jelous for not coming with them but made a promise to myself that when another opprtunity comes I will definitely grab the chance so as to get a glimpse of my favorite celebrities in person.

I know it may be a little silly but I am absolutely in love with the Ronald McDonald cartoon movies. Several years ago they came out with a series of them that you could purchase at any McDonalds. Now you can watch them on the satellite television from www.direct.tv when the Halloween season gets near.

The Halloween McDonalds episode is a sing-along. It may not be something to brag about my I can sing nearly every word to the songs even though I've long grown up since the film came out. It's a little bit scary at times and as a film for children it incorporates a lot of important life lessons.

There's a house that appears to be haunted that Ronald and his friends must enter to seek shelter from the storm. There's a young boy inside who is a whiz and technology and has created a dangerous obstacle course for Ronald and his friends. They make it through by being creative and answering riddles correctly. In the end they make the rebel whiz kid their friend and it seems he only felt alone and needed people to spend time with. It's difficult to live in a secluded house only with your father and when everyone is afraid of it. He could use his skills in technology for many other beneficial things and that's what he intends to do after seeing that he simply has to show kindness to others to get it in return.

When I was still a student, I remembered bringing all of my books and notebooks every single day five times a week. My cousin just told me to go ahead and talk to her teacher because she still has to go to her Gym Locker to change into her P.E. uniform, I was really surprised that they have two lockers on their school! Well anyway, after I got her report card, I then proceeded to the gym where my cousin was to say goodbye. As I passed the next building where the shortcut was, I now saw this Wood Lockers lining up the corridor and immediately thought that those were for school employees and teachers. I can't help but admire how the school's taking care of their students, teachers and employees by providing them one of their basic needs in school.

I only have two hobbies when I am not at work, that is using the internet to surf or read and watch pinoy 24 tv. If I am not watching tv, I am just on my laptop trying to earn some extra money and when I want to take a break, I surf or read just about anything that interests me from learning new things to one of my favorite news to read which is celebrity news. Like recently, I read about HUD apartments for rent which I don't know about, that is basically for low income people who cannot afford a big apartment rent. Now about the celebrity news I didn't knew is about this female celebs that went under the knife and undergone breast implants. I am not really a fan of plastic surgery but I understand them for undergoing such procedures as it would make them more attractive and more popular. Celebrities like Britney Spears and Jennifer Love Hewitt were rumoured to have breast implants which can be seen on before and after pics which I can clearly see the difference but Jessica Simpson Breast Implants is a bit different. Special Gift For Newly Weds

I've been invited to a wedding this coming November by a former classmate whom I recently reconnected via facebook and I am thrilled that I'll be able to reunite with my former classmates on this special occassion. As early as now, I am now thinking of a special gift I will give for the couple for their wedding. Since they are starting to build a home, I thought something useful at the kitchen would be a nice gift like a jk adams spice rack or a jk adams cutting board since my friend told me she's been learning how to cook in preparation for her being a soon to be housewife. Or a jk adams wine rack is another good idea to give since she once told me they would install a wine bar on their home.

Now I'm so excited to shop for my wedding present for the couple. I do enjoy shopping for gifts especially if I will be the one to wrap it. Might as well buy my present as early as possible! This coming month will be a very busy month for me with my upcoming new responsibility at work and christmas shopping for my loved ones.
